The WHO Package of Essential Noncommunicable Disease Interventions (WHO PEN) for primary care in low-resource settings is an innovative and action-oriented set of cost-effective interventions that can be delivered to an acceptable quality of care, even in resource-poor settings.

The Global action plan for the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases 2013-2020 provides a road map and a menu of policy options for all Member States and other stakeholders, to take coordinated and coherent action, at all levels, local to global, to attain the nine voluntary global targets, including that of a 25% relative reduction in premature mortality from cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes or chronic respiratory diseases by 2025.

Noncommunicable diseases country profiles 2018 presents key data on NCD mortality, risk factor prevalence, national systems capacity to prevent and control NCDs and existence of national targets based on the Global Monitoring Framework.
